How To Stop Overthinking & Self Sabotaging

Do you find yourself scrambling all day?

Racking your brain because there are all these things you want to do and accomplish. Overthinking everything.

8 hours later,

you realize nothing has been done.

Or worse,

It’s been weeks, months, YEARS...

And you still find yourself frozen.

And your brain is finding all these reasons to justify why that is...

✖️ “I don’t want to make the wrong decision.”

✖️ “I feel guilty, I don’t want anyone to be upset with me.”

✖️ “It’s not exactly right yet.”

Maybe you’re feeling that you can’t commit unless:

✖️ You have a plan of action first.

✖️ You absolutely know what you’re doing.

✖️ You can execute something perfectly without any sort of risk.

To name a few.

You keep coming up with these “reasons” but in reality, it is the fear of not knowing what the outcome of your decision will be, that is stopping you from committing.

You're self sabotaging.

Marcus Tullius Cicero said it the best...

“Indecision is the thief of opportunity. It will steal you blind”

I really encourage you to take a look at what has been lost already.

How many opportunities lost?

How much time lost?

How much growth lost?

How much money lost?

Have all of those losses been truly caused by a reason or fear?

Now don’t dwell on the losses.

You can’t change what has already happened.

But you CAN change how you act from this moment on.

There are plenty more opportunities, time, growth, money, etc... for you.

PLENTY.

Stop Sabotaging Yourself

Start taking control of your life

Start making the difficult decision

The decision of being confident in what you want and believing in yourself to make things happen.

Stop looking for the negative in every opportunity and start to think about the outcome that you truly want to have.

Here are four questions to ask yourself, when making a decision

1. What are the possible outcomes?

2. Is one of the outcomes everything I have ever wanted?

3. How does the possibility of taking that opportunity and getting everything I have been wanting feel?

4. If I don’t follow through with this will I keep wondering what could have happened?

Those feelings are what your decisions should be based on, not fear.

Put yourself first!

Stop questioning your decisions

Stop feeling guilty

Stop thinking that everything has to be perfect, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Who the F starts out knowing how to do things perfectly anyways?

Stop trying to please everyone. The harsh reality is that not everyone is going to want what is best for you and no one knows what is going to make you happy. So why base your decisions on other people?

There is only one person in this world that truly knows what you want, what you feel, what you need, and what your goals are. That person is YOU

Now I don’t expect you to change your whole being overnight, it will take time to do the inner work to shift your mindset and to feel confident in your decision making. But it all starts by taking the initiative and committing yourself to live the life that you know you are worthy of.

Don’t allow yourself to waste another precious minute.

Your dreams are counting on you.

Think about it.
